Start with the workflow you need. These guides explain the current app’s behavior and practical things to try when media does not process as expected.
Photo face swap on Android. Start with a selfie.
Put your face into a photo to explore a different portrait, scene, or look. Custom single-photo swaps are free, with no watermark on the finished result.
Explore the workflowVideo face swap on Android. A new face in the scene.
Choose a video and a source face, run the core swap on your phone, follow progress, and save the result. Use the single-person workflow or a separate multi-person video workflow.
Explore the workflowMultiple face swaps. Give each face its own part.
Start with a group photo, assign a source face to each detected face, and process the image. Use group photos with the people’s consent.
Explore the workflowBatch photo face swap. One face, a collection of moments.
Choose multiple target photos for the same source face and create them in a batch. The current Android picker supports up to 9 photos per batch.
Explore the workflowMulti-person video face swap. More faces in the same story.
Assign replacements to multiple detected faces in a video through a dedicated workflow. Movement, people crossing paths, and occlusion can affect the result.
Explore the workflowOn-device face swap. Know where the processing happens.
Beauto runs core face detection, replacement, and blending on Android. Videos are decoded and encoded on the phone too; accounts and other online services still use a network connection.

No face detected in a photo?
Try a sharper photo with a larger, unobstructed face. Avoid extreme side angles and strong backlighting. Small or obscured faces in group photos may not be detected.
Why can I select only 9 batch photos?
The current picker supports up to 9 photos per batch; split larger collections. Batch photos apply one source face to several target images. Multi-person photos configure several faces in one group image.
A video will not open or finish?
Media support depends on Android decoding and encoding capabilities. Try a shorter, lower-resolution H.264 MP4 and make sure the phone has free storage. Not every input format works on every phone.
The output has no source audio?
The current pipeline attempts to copy compatible audio into MP4. A missing source track or an incompatible format can leave the result silent. Try an MP4 with AAC audio first.
Processing is slow, hot, or runs out of memory?
On-device video processing uses compute, memory, and temporary storage. Try a shorter clip, lower resolution, fewer simultaneous faces, or less background load. Speed depends on device and media, with no guaranteed completion time.
Unnatural results or flickering?
Check that source and target angles and lighting are similar. Avoid fast motion, occlusion, blur, and frequent cuts. In multi-person videos, also review the face assignments.
Why do PRO videos still cost credits?
PRO changes video billing blocks and provides batch-photo, multi-photo, and PRO-template benefits. It does not mean unlimited free videos. Review the benefits page and the cost shown in the app before creation.
